Latest Design Trends from Salone del Mobile to Miami

Lafayette always stays on trend!

At Lafayette, we are informed and heavily inspired by European design trends. Miami is already enjoying the arrival of a collection from Salone del Mobile in Milan, the biggest furniture exhibition in the world.

Showcasing the newest European design trends, this event is always exciting for design devotees worldwide, especially since the event was on hold for 18 months due to the pandemic. It is equally exciting for industry professionals to connect and be inspired. We were very impressed by some of the design showcases.

Dior commissioned 17 artists and designers to re-create the Louie-ZVI chair created by Christian himself in 1947. These chairs have been a signature design for the fashion house, and this year for Supersalone they commissioned 17 artists and designers to reimagine the original masterpieces.

Visionnaire, which has a flagship store in Miami, had a great portfolio of collections including Caprice (shown above), Alcove, Babylon Rack, and Pavone. Lafayette is excited to see these collections in the Miami showroom.

Poltrona Frau, also a furniture brand with a Miami showroom, expanded into the outdoor furniture sector this year with their Boundless Living Collection, using specialty fabrics from Loro Piana.
